The party was held at The Kings - which is a tradition pub in Swindon, our home town.

We had our own function room in the pub, which we miraculously managed to fill (didn't realise we knew that many people!). There was tons of food, all our favourite songs playing (some supplied by our friends - with the best taste in music - we were very grateful) and lots of drinks to go round.
There of course had to be the ceremonial cutting of the cake. This was made more enjoyable by the fact there was a picture of Carl and myself on it - it also tasted fantastic.
I have to admit I had no part in organising any of this - my wonderful Mum sorted it all (with the assistance of others). I feel like a very bad daughter that I did not offer more help, particularly after walking in and seeing all the effort she put in. All I did was worry about what I was going to wear and whether I could last the whole night in my high heels! However, I think me and Carl made up for it by doing our hosting duties and mingling with everyone - hard work but good practice for the real thing.
I'm very grateful to everyone who made it such a lovely evening. I will make it up to my Mum. I promise.
K xx
